2. Deception:
There’s one striking point we raised yesterday that reminded me of my ordeal with some Nigerian police officers. Jonah waited until they started casting lots, and even then, he said nothing. Maybe he thought the lots wouldn’t expose him, or whatever was going through his mind. But surprisingly, he was caught red-handed.

I said it before — Jonah knows the problem but won’t say anything. Jonah knows all is not well with you — your health, your business, your peace — yet he acts as though everything is fine.

I remember what happened some years ago. I was driving my father home when we met some police officers on the road. They asked for all our car documents, and we gave them. You know how the Nigerian police system operates!

Unknown to us, they had spotted about three errors — things that should have been addressed by the Road Safety officers. But instead of pointing them all out, they mentioned only one issue and demanded a “settlement.” My dad agreed, just to save time.

A few days later, we met the same officers again. This time, they went straight to the second problem — and again, we had to settle them. Another time, they went after the third one. Not only that, they even advised us to commit another error so they could use it against us later.

Conclusion:
Those officers saw and knew the problems, but instead of helping us fix them, they took advantage of them. In the same way, Jonah knew what the problem was but chose to keep silent.
