Topic: Don't Pity Jonah!
Word: Jonah 1:15 NLT
Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once!
Here's My Take:
What Jonah stands...
3. Delay:
One thing you should know about Jonah is everywhere he goes, movement slows. Progress freezes when Jonah is around. The ship that carried him lost time it could never recover. Jonah’s presence turned a simple journey into a long struggle.
When purpose is absent, delay becomes present. The sailors were innocent, but Jonah’s disobedience wasted their time. That’s how wrong connections delay right destinies. Sometimes it’s not the devil, it’s your association. When Jonah is in your life, timing loses meaning. What should take days begins to take years. Jonah makes you busy but not fruitful. He keeps you fighting storms that were never meant for you.
Delay is not just waiting — it’s movement without advancement. You’re working hard, yet going nowhere. That’s what happens when Jonah is on board. Every time you carry disobedience, you carry delay. Jonah represents the spirit that slows divine progress.
Conclusion:
Jonah was supposed to go to Nineveh, but went to Tarshish. It means that wrong direction equals wasted time. Wrong choice/decision equals delay
