3. Delay: 

One can become the Jonah of his or her own life by the kind of mentality they possess. When a person highly exalts himself or herself—making themselves too “expensive” or too difficult to approach—people will naturally avoid them.

For instance, when a young lady chooses to make herself unapproachable through her attitude, especially towards material things, even wealthy and generous men will avoid her. And the more she is avoided, the more her progress is delayed.

Nothing delays a person like a bad character. You often hear people say, “Accept me the way I am.”

But the truth is, nobody accepts anybody exactly as they are. You must be willing to change certain attitudes for people to embrace you.

When someone insists on remaining the same, expecting everyone else to adjust and accept them as they are, that person might as well look for another planet. If you’re honest with yourself, you’ll discover that even you are not proud of some of your own behaviors at times—so imagine how others feel when those same behaviors come from someone else.

Conclusion:

I always advise people: “If you’ve prayed and nothing happened, and you’ve fasted and nothing happened, then check your character. It could be the problem.”
