Here's My Take:
This is the story of Jonah. When you Pity Jonah, you'll lose everything you have and if you're not careful, you'll lose your life. We all know that Jonah is a person, but in this topic, we're not only looking at the person, Jonah, we're also looking at the attitude/behavior/character of him. So we'll be looking at what Jonah stands for.
And according to our context, what Jonah stands for are those attitude/behaviour/character displayed by him. Therefore we'll use those characters to represent Jonah. So we'll be looking at what Jonah stands.
1. Disaster: one of the significant role of Jonah is to cause disaster. Anywhere he goes, peace disappears, and confusion takes over.When Jonah entered the ship, the storm arose. He carried trouble not because the sea hated him, but because his presence was out of alignment with God’s will. Sometimes, the problem in your boat is not the devil — it’s Jonah. Until Jonah leaves, the storm won’t stop. No matter how hard you pray, you can’t calm what obedience alone can silence.
