Topic: Don't Pity Jonah!

Word: ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Jonah 1:15 NLT

Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once!

Here's My Take:

Intro:

I don't know what else is witchcrafting/bewitchment compared to Jonah's reaction, when the people of Nineveh repented of their sins. After God saw their repentance, he forgave them.

The Bible "this change of plans greatly upset Jonah, and he became very angry. So he complained to the Lord about it: “Didn’t I say before I left home that you would do this, Lord? That is why I ran away to Tarshish! I knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people. Jonah 4:1-2 NLT

This particular act has refused to get off my head. What kind of enemy of progress is this one, biko? This attitude of Jonah isn't far from the reality. I found out earlier in life that there are people that are praying with their tongues for you to succeed, at the same wishing in their minds that you never succeed. They're your Jonah.

To be continued...

Conclusion:

Don't Pity Jonah! There are hearts are filled with wickedness and evil.

Song:

What a Friend we have in Jesus,

All our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry

  Everything to God in prayer!

O what peace we often forfeit,

O what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry

  Everything to God in prayer!

Prayer:

May those that want me to remain in my weakness so that God will destroy me, wait forever! Amen.
