Topic: When Beauty Fades, What Next?!
Word: Proverbs 31:30 NLT
Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
Here's My Take:
When Beauty Fades, What Next?! We'll be looking at what is likely going to happen when Beauty Fades.
4. Vulnerable: When the Beauty of a nation fades, it loses its future. How to know that a nation has no future, is when that nation stopped thinking about her children; when the elders of that nation are rotating the affairs of the nation only within/amongst themselves without the involvement of the young people. When a nation does not believe in their Youths, when they think that their Youths are not capable to lead/administer the affairs of the nation.
Then know that that nation has no future. This is why you'll still see a man of 80 and above, who can barely stand or walk. Zero agility! One who can't control his urine but wee on himself, still vying for a position to lead.
Not just to lead a Council or a state, but to lead a nation. A position that requires someone who's always awake, agile, flexible and young. Not someone who loses control of his senses, sleeps immediately after drinking a drum of coffee without sugar/milk. These men don't consider how weak they are, but driven because of greed.
Conclusion:
When you look at Nigeria, you wonder what the future holds for her. When you look at her Youths, you wonder what becomes of them. May God have mercy!
Song:
Jesus, I've forgotten the words that You have spoken
Promises that burned within my heart have now grown dim
With a doubting heart I follow the paths of earthly wisdom
Forgive me for my unbelief
Renew the fire again
Lord have mercy
Christ have mercy
Lord have mercy on me
Prayer:
Lord have mercy upon our nation in Jesus name. Amen.
