WHAT IF as it's seen in...
1. Business:
The reason why few people are involved in Good business is because they're afraid to fail. But the truth is, no good business man sees failure as failure. Rather they see failure as the schematics for Success. It takes a man who had tried to fail. One who never tried can't tell what failure is, and success too.
Failure and Success comes to a man that has tried. Failure is a step behind Success(if it is utilized). That is why Failure doesn't stop a business man from investing, rather it energizes him to find more alternatives/possible ways of getting what he wants.
So WHAT IF that business doesn't give the expected results? WHAT IF the unexpected/misfortune happens? WHAT IF the environmental policies affect it? These are some of the questions that should be banked while setting up a business. We're not praying for that, but it doesn't delete the fact that such is possible.
Conclusion:
No company hires/owns a Fire Service car just because it want to set itself ablaze. They prepare for a fire outbreak whether it will come or not.
