Here's My Take:
"WHAT IF" makes us have proper planning. It creates room for a plan-B. It makes nations have foresight . WHAT IF is a wake up call to every individual, family and nation.
I was discussing with someone and he began to tell me how he hasn't saved anything. He went on to tell me that he has about three sources of income. Initially it was two sources, until he got the third source which was the highest. He wasn't able to save, not because the money wasn't enough. But because of careless living.
If he had asked himself WHAT IF, by now he would have saved enough to do extraordinary things. WHAT IF makes us put our tomorrow first, before considering today. By God's Grace I gave him an opinion on how to go about it, so that at the end of the month, he can have something as savings.
Conclusion:
Without a "WHAT IF", our thoughts won't exceed what we will eat and drink. Because WHAT IF makes us think and see far.
