He had 700 wives, who were princesses, and 300 concubines. And his wives turned away his heart. For when Solomon was old his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not wholly true to the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father.

4. King Solomon: The Jews answer names not just because of the popularity of the person or wealth or status. But majorly, on the morality of the person. In other words, they answer the names of the people with good characters 

For instance, check the new Testament, you will get quite a number of people answering Joseph. And when you look at the life of the man that first answered Joseph, you'll understand why his name was answered by many. But the name David never rang the bell again in the New Testament, after King him. Reason is because his name is attached to sexual immorality.

Solomon on the other hand was answered by a great King, yet nobody found interest in that name after he was gone. The people were not looking at the greatness attached to that name, rather they're looking at morality attached to the character of the person bearing that name.

Conclusion:

Proverbs 22:1 KJV says

"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches. This good name is not gotten by riches, rather by good morals.
