They shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.

Here's My Take:

Example Of Recommendation That Birth Condemnation:

Biblical Characters:

1. King Herod: as the people shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.

Every praise is to our God. No matter where they are coming from, they belong to our God. For God is enthroned in our praises. Which means that if we don't give Him praise, we're dethroning Him.

The question is "who will see himself being dethroned and keep quiet?! Nobody cares! Herod was about dethroning God, immediately he was struck down. Our God is no nonsense Being.

Conclusion:

When you see yourself in any position, always give God praise because He's the one that put you there. It doesn't matter if you're a Christian or not; if you go to Church or not. God can use anybody. King Cyrus wasn't a Christian, but God used him mightily.

Song:

Jesus, keep me near the cross,

There a precious fountain—

Free to all, a healing stream—

Flows from Calv’ry’s mountain.

Refrain:

In the cross, in the cross,

Be my glory ever;

Till my raptured soul shall find

Rest beyond the river.

Prayer:

Lord may Your Praises never cease in my mouth in Jesus name. Amen.
