Here's My Take:
CATALYST(As A Senior Pastor): growing up I heard that one of the benefits of fatherhood is to see your seed grow and develop; not just to grow and develop, but to be better than the you. Therefore it is required of every father to nurture and equip his seeds with whatever it will require to make them the best and bring them to the limelights.
For them to be able to compete with their counterparts in any dimension as the Spirit will enable them. Any Senior Pastor that understands this principle, without being selfish, will equip his sons and daughters, and keep flaunting them, while himself run with speed.
Fatherly role is a significant gift one shouldn't joke with. I said it's a Gift(honour), whereby if you couldn't handle it, it will be given to someone else. This is why there's no permanent Spiritual Father. One can change a Spiritual Father by choice(when you're not getting what you needed) or by circumstance(change of Church/environment). It won't stop him/her from respecting his formal Spiritual Father.
Conclusion:
Fatherhood is like a vine/wine press, which function is to bring out juice in a grape.
