Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.
Here's My Take:
WHY DO PEOPLE CROSS SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY:
10. Lack of self-control: Uncle Moses was the meekest man during his time, but he had a weakness, which was hot temper. Being meek and having hot temper, is what am still confused how he was able to work with these two habits, even as a leader.
I could imagine a hot tempered person leading a crowd of people with bunch of sickening characters. The temptation that goes with it will be very high and consistent. He led them like that but lost control of that weakness almost at the dying minute of his career.
This is why I think Self-control was made the last fruit of the Holy Spirit, because of it's relevance; to helps us to do things right before God and before men. To tame us. And without this measure in place, we'll keep offending one another, and even God. So whatever we do and whoever we become, self-control is a must for us.
Conclusion:
If not for the fruit of self-control, the level of atrocity the world is witnessing now will never be compared with what it would have witnessed. But thank God for coming through for us.
