Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.
Here's My Take:
WHY DO PEOPLE CROSS SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY:
10. Lack of self-control: The Nine fruits of the Holy Spirit are "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" There was a time I was wondering why God made Self-control to be the last of the Nine fruits of the Holy.
Then I thought deeply, and I got some light. Self-control helps us to manage the things we have; physical or spiritual. There's no gift(spiritual or physical) anyone has that doesn't require self-control, if not it will be abused and misused.
These fruits are linked/connected to each other, while self-control serves as their manager. Let's look at Love for instance, Love can be misunderstood if it doesn't have some measures. That's why one can be told to use his/her head.
Conclusion:
Having self-control is synonymous to taking measures, being careful, being watchful, etc. Anything that doesn't have some measures will be easily abused.
