Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.

Here's My Take:

WHY DO PEOPLE CROSS SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY:

10. Lack of self-control: So many times I have read this Scripture "Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control" and I have thought deeply what could make the Wise God use this illustration to qualify a man without self-control.

I find out that a city with a broken wall is already unsafe and could be invaded easily, because it's security will be bridged. It will be unkept because anyone can come in and do as s/he pleases. It will never be respected and valued. No one can give account of anything happening in that City because of it's porous nature.

This illustration is a depiction of how our lives will be when we become uncontrollable by words, actions, reactions, approach, what we eat and drink, etc. Leaving us at the mercy of sicknesses, diseases, death, demons, etc.

To be continued...

Conclusion:

For a city to be broken it means that something must have caused it. It's a wake up call for us to avoid things that'll cause our lives and healths to be invaded.

Song:

I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,

And it told Thy love to me;

But I long to rise in the arms of faith,

And be closer drawn to Thee.

Refrain:

Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,

To the cross where Thou hast died;

Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,

To Thy precious, bleeding side.

Prayer:

Father may we not be careless over our lives, soul and health in Jesus name. Amen.
