[2] then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. [3] Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.

Here's My Take:

WHY DO PEOPLE CROSS SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY:

6. Selfishness: selfishness is one of the reasons why people Cross Spiritual Boundaries. We're living in a time where selfishness is the other of the day; people rarely consider the needs of others, even when they have everything, and also have all it takes to help those around them.

Instead of helping, they'll even find means of taking from them if possible. Selfishness makes us ignorant of the needy around us; it closes our eyes and ears towards the cries and tears of the needy and helpless around us.

When people doesn't care about others but only themselves how can they help? I found out that majority of us want to succeed, but only few wants to see others succeed. If all you care about is "mine", "ours", then you belong here.

Conclusion:

Selfishness does not have an age bracket; it could be found in little children and as well as adults. It can't be outgrown by reason of age, but one can decide to overcome it.

Song:

What a friend we have in Jesus

All our sins and griefs to bear

What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!

O what peace we often forfeit

O what needless pain we bear

All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer

Have we trials and temptations?

Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged

Take it to the Lord in prayer

Can we find a friend so faithful

Who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness

Take it to the Lord in prayer

Prayer:

Father may I not live with the burden of selfishness in Jesus name. Amen.
