Here's My Take:

WHY DO PEOPLE CROSS SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY:

9. Stubbornness: Korah, Dathan and Abiram were destroyed because of their stubbornness with a touch of arrogance. Their act of stubbornness didn't just end with them, but with those that was connected with them as well.

How will you feel receiving a punishment because of someone's attitude? I remember those days in school, we'll receive punishment because a particular student acted unwisely. The teacher will not punish only him, but will get all of us involved. We'll be so bittered, but won't do anything.

Sometimes I imagined being among the family members of these three guys, Korah, Dathan and Abiram. Imagined not doing anything, but called out to die?! This is why is very important to rebuke anyone connected to you that's acting foolishly, Irrespective of who the person is. You're not doing that because you hated the person, but to avoid suffering the consequences with him/her.

Conclusion:

Stubbornness is the empowerment one has to destroy himself by himself; via ignorance
