Topic: CROSSING SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY
Word: Numbers 16:32 KJV
and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
Here's My Take:
WHY DO PEOPLE CROSS SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY:
9. Stubbornness: There's this Igbo adage that says "agwa nti ma nti anughi, egbuwe isi egburu nti"... meaning literally "when you tell ear what to do, it refused to listen, when the head will be cut down, it will go with it"...but the main interpretation is "when you warn a person, s/he refused to listen, destruction will soon befall him/her.
The above adage is often used to call a stubborn child to order by his parents, in this side of the world. So that he won't receive hot strokes of cane. If that child is wise, on hearing that will bring himself down, and attend to whatever he was told to do. But if he's bent on displaying stubbornness, he'll receive it hot.
God too, like our parents here, is speaking same adage to every stubborn child, who's still living in immorality, who's still lying and living in lies, who's still craving for worldly things, who's coveting what's not his/hers, etc to repent or get destroyed with it.
Conclusion:
Most times, stubborn people may not know that they're stubborn unless they're told. Now I have told you, so that you won't say you were not told.
Song:
I can see him from afar
With fire in his eyes
He's standing by your door
He's waiting for you
I see him standing by the door
With fire in his eyes and healing in his wings
To heal someone who believes
So open up your heart
He's waiting for you
Prayer:
Father let every stubborn heart receive the Love of Christ in Jesus name. Amen.
