For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
Here's My Take:
WHY DO PEOPLE CROSS SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY:
2. Zeal: I said this and I'll say it again, Zeal is good, but it should have control switch. So many things could make one's zeal to be seen as a zeal without knowledge, especially when it's applied to Spiritual matters or authority.
There was a brother who was very committed and zealous. His zeal was so obvious that some people mistook him for/as the Senior Pastor. His zeal gave him access to so many privileges; to preach, pray, coordinate and moderate sometimes. People started bringing to him matters that should have been brought to his Pastor, and he'll handle them, without telling him.
Should I say those privileges made him to forget himself, or they made him to start seeing himself as a boss, even to his Boss. "Who we truly are actually surfaces, when unimaginable opportunities show up"

Conclusion:
This is one of my favorite quote "arrogance/pride and humility is inside everyone, it's all about the one s/he chose to stir up". The most humble person around you could be the most arrogant, if he stirs it up.
