1. Abraham:
The Four Major Areas Abraham Was Tempted.
iii). Waiting on God for a child: We concluded yesterday by saying "God didn't kill Abraham because he failed on this, instead God reaffirm His promises for him. Because, God saw Abraham's heart, and saw a man who was not pleased of his action". The reason why most people after being overcome by temptation die gradually, is because of the arrogance in their actions.
God does not kill anybody because he failed. That person will kill him/herself if arrogance is found in him/her. For God resist the arrogance, and give Grace to the humble. If the humble fails, He'll give him/her the Grace to move to the next level. But when the arrogance fails, He'll resist(remove/reject) him/her.
Arrogance may not kill a person physically, but it will keep the person in the prison of his/her shadows; very far away from God, far away from His blessings and coverage. But humility brings us closer to God and men.
Conclusion:
What God desired from us isn't perfection, but humility. He knows that the formal isn't obtainable, but the later is.
