1. Abraham: 

The Four Major Areas Abraham Was Tempted.

iii). Waiting on God for a child: this was the third temptation that came to Father Abraham. This one was one of the most mentioned temptations of Abraham. But unfortunately he failed on this one. What happened was that he succumbed to his wife's pressure and slept with their maid, so that she(Sarah) could have a child through her(maid).

From chapter 14-15 of the Book of Genesis, God told Abram(Abraham) that he'll give him multiple children. But at a point he was confused, thinking that God was referring to his servants. In Chapter 15:4 of ‭‭Genesis‬, God made it clear to him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. 

Though he waited, but the Power of "the woman" was so strong on him. And he succumbed. Many a time, when we receive instructions from the Lord, that's when the devil will bring so many challenges on our way. These challenges will be so strong that, unless the Lord helped, we'll be overcome.

Conclusion:

‭‭‭‭God didn't kill him because he failed, instead God reaffirm His promises for him. Because God saw Abram's heart, and saw a man who was not pleased of his action. Do you do same when make mistake?!
