Here's My Take:
WHEN THERE'S NATURAL AFFECTION, there'll be
2. Trust: the most difficult person to convince in life is someone whose trust has been broken. S/he is more headstrong than a religious believer. A religious believer can easily denounce those things s/he once held so dear and jump into another beliefs, prior to little convinction.
But to someone who's trust has been broken, the case is so different. Theirs are very difficult, because a lot of things will cloud their minds; the trauma, fear, anger, etc. Convincing them to Trust again means removing those things that clouded their minds one after the other. If not, nothing will change their minds.
Not that they will no longer do anything with you, they will. But Trusting you again that I can't guarantee. That's why it's important to build Trust within your capacity/capabilities. How?

Conclusion:
Don't build Trust you know that you can't uphold(sustain) and don't lay False Trust Foundation, because it can never last.
