Things to Note about Nature(Natural):

4. They benefit one another: Nature was made for the benefits of itself and God; and such reason still hasn't changed till date. To God, it was nothing but a fellowship with nature, especially humanity. Genesis 3.

But to humanity it was for emotional, physical, etc, satisfaction. Whatever any man is doing today, it's all about satisfaction; married or single, live with people or alone, hang around with people or pets, etc. What humanity desired most is satisfaction. That's why they can go any length to get that.

And anything short of that won't get much of their interest. Unlike humans, other animals differ according their trophic level. Pet(animal) interest(major) is just friendship and closeness. They feel left out when such are denied them.

Conclusion:

If humans and pets could feel unhappy when their interests are denied, what about God; the one that sought for just fellowship with us. Remember we're his handmade, and for this purpose we were made. Shalom.
