He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)
Here's My Take:
Physical Long-sightedness in Spiritual Long-sightedness
2. the lens inside the eye is unable to focus properly: Satan is looking for a little loophole in our house(families, hearts, Church, etc). Leaving your house unattended and focus on other people's affairs will only open your house to Satan and it's agents. An opportunity that they're looking for.
Just the way it happens physically, any man that is careless over his house is calling for attention. For his house will be invaded by unknown men
When you overlook the problems in your house, and focus on what's going on in the lives of others, you'll be surprised the level of damages you'll see the day you'll look into your house. How can a man claim to be a disciplinarian; correcting others, yet his daughter got pregnant in his house?! Who should be blamed?
Conclusion:
A champion outside his home can only be celebrated outside, but internally s/he is a total failure
