Continued from yesterday's reply that was sent to me.
I simply ask him, can you tell me the one nonsense thing that God allowed to overpower him? But based on what you wrote, I'll say this
Every day life of a Christian is filled with Temptations. That you knew and served God for 30yrs will not stop the devil from tempting you. That's why the Bible said in Proverbs 24:10 "If thou faint in the day of adversity, Thy strength is small". The truth is, those that are meant to be Great, will surely have greater temptations.
If I tell you mine too, you'll know that this one is nothing. But listen to this one "I have a Pastor that repented at his young age, he passed through so many persecutions from his family because he got born again, and yet he didn't give up.
He got married as a virgin, his wife too was a virgin. They stayed for 20yrs and 2months before the wife gave birth to a baby girl. After a year plus, the wife and that baby had accident and died. Yet he never deviated and curse God or say God isn't God again.
The truth is, when you thought that you've seen it all, you'll see another person that had seen more than you.
This is one of the reasons why we go to Church, so that we'll encourage one another. So that when those that had passed through temptations and overcome will share their testimonies, we'll be encouraged the more
