Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength, and not just please ourselves.

8. When those that should have encouraged you are the ones discouraging you:
The Bible told us a story of about twelve men that went to spy the land of Canaan, ten of them came back and frightened the people with their reports. As Leaders of the people, they were not expected to bring discouragements, but encouragements. Every report/statement that comes from them should motivate and strengthen people, not what will weaken them.
When they came and gave report of what they saw, they made the heart of the people fail them. As men of such calibers, their words holds water; their words are seen as the words of God. But it turned out that they couldn't handle their statements very well, thereby throwing people off balance, from their faith and trust in their Elohim. This is why God didn't spare them when destroying them.
If not that God is the one that...chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; and also chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong....their 'evil' report would have prevailed. God has to magnify the report of two men to become greater and more acceptable than that of ten men, isn't this God awesome? Let's fear Him, biko!
Conclusion:
It's important to know how the individuals you wanna give your report to process information, before giving it to them. It will help you to know how to twist your words for their listening pleasures. Else it will become a big problem.
