10. Jealous and Envy:
The success of any friendship is partly dependent on the regard and value the people involved placed on themselves. It also have to do with how we see and take one another. One thing we should know is that all fingers can never be equal. That you're friends doesn't mean that your equal in destiny and fate. It doesn't mean that you'll look alike in beauty and stature.
Envying or getting jealous of your friendships because you see them doing better is a no no and shouldn't be entertained in anyone's consciousness. Life is like a race, with each individual running solo, in their own track. Whether we're in the same business, organization, discipline, location, etc, it's a separate race, which no one should interfere with the other.
But when we allow envy to envelope us, it will surely end the friendship. The host will be the one suffering it, not the target. Because s/he will be so bittered and uncomfortable whenever s/he sees or remember the friend. S/he will never be free again, until s/he end the friendship by him/herself. Which will cost him/her the opportunity to learn the secret of progress(prosperity, success) and the friendship too.
Conclusion:
Any heart that entertains envy doesn't recover easily. And when it recovers, it will never remain the same(free, accommodating, cheerful, etc)
