Frankly speaking, one of the reasons why the world is so dirt with wickedness is because of our ideologies in making friends. People believe that your friends should only come from the people that share same Faith with you, people that came from the same region(ethnicity, race, country, continent, etc) with you.
And/or people that share same interest with you and also people of the same mindset and caliber.
Even among people of the same Faith, there's a believe that your friends should come from the same denomination. And a whole of lot that. But Friendship is beyond that, it is versatile and not constraint.
When that mentality is changed, it will make human to value human. But when the mind is restricted to only the people around you, it will make you see others as unapproachable. Thereby hating them as well.
Before making friends, you ask yourself, what do I want, what are your expectations? These questions when answered will help you make a choice. Knowing what you want will help you connect easily. Being friends start from the mind, not by your meet. You can meet with someone yet not connect, and you can also connect with someone, yet not met. Friendship starts from the mind.
Conclusion:
Do you know that you can see someone as your friend and connect with him/her psychologically and otherwise, yet the person doesn't have a thing about you?
