Topic: GOOD BYE

Word: Exodus 21:2 NLT

“If you buy a Hebrew slave, he may serve for no more than six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom.

Here's My Take:

Why do people say goodbye?

1. When they're not engaged or when they're over engaged.

I know of a boy that has served his master close to nine years now, yet he has not been settled. And the boy has been very patient and hopeful, believing that one day the man will settle him. On our findings, we found out that the man was reluctant over his release. Maybe he wants the guy to say am not serving again, so that he won't settle him. Or he's looking for what to hold unto to relieve him without settlement.

Several stories have been said over many servants just like this young man that couldn't endure. They quitted their service because their bosses refused to settle them when their agreed time has elapsed.

Everything has time, when the agreed period reached the needful should be done.

When you over engaged(used) a person, never expect full responsibility. Never expect full submission and even respect. Never expect them to be responsible. Never expect cheerfulness. Never expect excellent performance. Expect nagging, complains, etc.

Conclusion:

When a person's time/effort/experience is overused, it will be abused.

Song:

O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,

Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,

Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Prayer:

Father make me a responsible servant and also a responsible boss; when the time comes. Amen.

Are you attending service tomorrow??
