Topic: The Old Prophet(Who is "The Old Prophet"?) 4

Word: 1 Kings 13:11 KJV

Now...his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Beth–el: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.

Here's My Take:

Who is "The Old Prophet"?

4. Theyll never have words(messages) of their own but capitalize on people's points:

From our Anchor Scripture 1 Kings 13, the Old Prophet doesn't have messages again for the people of Bethel. Maybe he was very good, doing what he was assigned to do very well, when he was young. Because for him to be regarded as a Prophet, it means he was useful.

Later, maybe due to improper handling of the grace(Office) he had, he lost form. And God has to send a rescue mission, the Young MOG, to rescue the land.

One mistake we, young ministers do is the mistake of not knowing that Grace can be exhausted. And it requires refilling anytime as the case may be. Many doesn't know that. Now listen, Grace is called Oil or Anointing(it's only oil that can anoint) as the case may be. As you preach and do all sorts good work(miracles, preach, etc), you're draining the Oil gradually.

And as a vessel, that contains the Oil, what happens when these Oil runs out? You refill it right? But when you refuse to refill, you become empty and dead(spiritually). If you're a machine, you'll get knocked.

As a young minister, doing exploit for the Kingdom now, don't let your Oil run out or get too old before you refill. Don't let yourself be seen as the Old Prophet. Never forget that the Old Prophet has no age limit, so whether you're young in age or not, you can become an Old Prophet when you refuse to refill.

Conclusion:

Always check yourself to gauge. Just like a machine operator or car owner check his engine oil to gauge before operating, always check yourself to gauge, it's important.

Tomorrow we'll be discussing things that can cause Oil to run dry or get too old. You can share your ideas with us. God bless you.

Song:

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary

When troubles come and my heart burdened be

Then, I am still and wait here in the silence

Until you come and sit awhile with me

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains

You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas

I am strong, when I am on your shoulders

You raise me up... To more than I can be

Prayers:

Father refill me daily and may I not run out of gauge. Amen.

Are you pure in Spirit???
