BENEFITS OF FINANCIAL DIRECTION
Finally on financial direction, let's look at some of the benefits of financial direction.
It Encourages Contentment: Many people are not content with what they already have. They keep buying and acquiring things they neither need nor regularly use. Visit the homes of many African leaders and you may see this for yourself. Some own more than ten private cars parked in their compounds. In many cases, some of those vehicles may not have been used for months, yet they remain there, occupying space.
Despite having numerous cars sitting idle, they still pursue the latest models as soon as they are released. When greed is combined with a lack of contentment and financial discipline, it can produce the kind of leadership challenges we often see in Africa. Do not be surprised if I tell you that, in some cases, poor people appear more content than the rich.
It Aligns Finances with Purpose: Most life purposes cannot be fulfilled without money. In fact, it is difficult to think of any meaningful purpose that does not require some level of financial support. Financial Direction helps ensure that money is used for the purpose for which it was intended. This prevents both the misuse of finances and the abuse of purpose.
Conclusion:
Lack of accountability is what is destroying the continent of Africa. Where there's no financial direction, there will be no accountability.
