One of the challenges of mankind is keeping promises.
There are people who, if all the financial promises made to them throughout their lives had been fulfilled, would have attained financial freedom by now.
The challenge is that many of these promises were made voluntarily—not because anyone asked for help. Imagine checking up on someone out of care and concern, only to receive a financial promise. You then believe that what was promised will happen, only to end up disappointed.
If you know that you struggle to fulfill your financial promises, please stop making them. It is not compulsory to promise what you may not be able to deliver. Also, never assume that everyone who checks up on you is looking for assistance. Sometimes, people simply care enough to ask how you are doing. A promise may create hope, but a fulfilled promise builds trust. Unfulfilled promises, especially repeated ones, often leave behind disappointment and damaged relationships.
