16. Financial Direction Requires Vision
Money follows vision. People who have no vision often misuse resources because they have nothing meaningful to finance.
Vision gives money purpose. Without vision, money becomes entertainment instead of an investment.
Today a colleague of mine told us a story of those people that got involved with oil bunkering business. According to him, he said that in those days when the business was booming, those guys had excessive money. That they could buy anybody. In fact one of them bragged to him that he has enough money to buy all the Lawyers in Nigeria.
He told us that right now those guys are nothing to write home about. Majority of them are literally begging for food. Because the illegal business has collapsed, and most of them didn't save or make any investment with the money. They were eating it as it was coming.
Conclusion:
It is not what you earn that changes your life, but what you wisely keep, grow, and put into good use.
