I observed that when a brethren/friend is having some tough moments, you'll see those around him encouraging him by quoting several Scriptures. But when such moments happen to any of those quoting such Scriptures, they will cry more, even at some point refused to be comforted. And funny enough, they won't remember any of those Scriptures they quoted, again.
If you can tell someone to take solace in God in difficult times, remember to say that to yourself.
Psalms 42:11 NIV
The Psalmist asked "Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God."
Be an encouragement not just to others, but to yourself...
