Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
No one has ever considered a troublemaker to be a child of God. In fact, one of the signs people recognize as a criterion for being called a child of God is peacemaking.
As a child of God, it is not a good testimony if you see people causing trouble and choose to overlook it. It is better to make an effort to promote peace and be ignored than never to try at all.
Peacemaking is one of the qualities people can see in you that will make them believe you are a child of God, even without you preaching. Because actions speaks louder than sermon.
Remember, you cannot truly be a child of God without being a peacemaker.
