6. Lack of Mercy: Many of the behaviors we see in the Church today show that Pharisaic tendencies are still very present. From my visit across different regions in Nigeria, I have noticed similar mindsets in various churches I attended. This reveals how widespread such attitudes have become within the house of God.
When you look at the time of Jesus, you will notice the same pattern. Wherever He went, there were people watching closely, looking for something to use against Him. They were not confined to one place—they were everywhere, carrying out the same mindset.
This is why, as a church leader, running from one location to another because of such challenges may not solve the problem. These attitudes are not limited to a particular church or region.
Even in Jesus’ time, those He encountered were spread across different synagogues. The issue was not the location, but the mindset.
Conclusion:
Changing environment does not always solve the problem. What matters most is wisdom, discernment, and the grace to manage people and situations wherever you are.
