Psalm 37:4 KJV
Delight thyself also in the LORD; And he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
As a child of God, you should understand that not every good desire is acceptable before Him. You may have a good desire, but it may not align with His will for you at that particular time. Therefore, He may not permit it to come to pass.
Any desire—no matter how good—that does not bring God glory or align with His purpose may not be approved by Him. This is why many of our desires do not come to manifestation.
But when we truly delight ourselves in God, our desires begin to align with His will. At that point, what we want becomes what He wants, and what satisfies us also brings Him glory.
