Topic: THE PHARISEES
Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT
The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.
Here’s My Take:
HOW TO KNOW A PHARISEE:
6. A Pharisee is someone that hates the truth: It seems that in today’s world, we have more people who admire the lifestyle of the Pharisees than those who are sincere. This is evident in the way people accept those who lie to them more than those who speak the truth. I have never lived in a time where people prefer lies and dishonesty to truth and honesty like this one.
Imagine having Pharisees in positions of authority. Imagine a place where a Pharisee is the king or head of state—then it means those around him or her will be liars. Such a person can never surround themselves with honest people.
They will avoid honest people at all costs. Do you know that the strongest opposition the Pharisees faced in the Bible was not the Sadducees, but Jesus? Simply because He always told them the truth. This made me realize that the greatest opposition to the Pharisees ruling our nations today are people who live with integrity and honesty—not rebranded Sadducees.
Conclusion:
Until we end the era of the Pharisees in our government, we'll continue to have liars and rebranded saduccees clamouring for the same power
Song:
Your name is the highest
Your name is the greatest
Your name stands above them all
All thrones and dominions
All powers and positions
Your name stands above them all
Prayer:
May the Lord liberate our nations from the hands of the Pharisees. In Jesus name. Amen.
