Topic: THE PHARISEES
Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT
“The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.
Here’s My Take:
Jesus Encounter With The Pharisees:
When Jesus said to the blind “I entered this world to render judgment—to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind.” The Pharisees captured the message immediately. They knew that Jesus was referring to them. So, some Pharisees who were standing nearby heard him and asked, “Are you saying we’re blind?”
But Jesus made them understand that clear conscience fears no accusation. He said “If you were blind, you wouldn’t be guilty". “But you remain guilty because you claim you can see. John 9:35-41 NLT.
If you read about Jesus earthly ministry, you'll notice that there's never been any time Jesus was teaching and he sees the Pharisees and ignores them.
He will surely find a way to communicate his feelings towards them to them. And good enough, the Pharisees will know that he was referring to them. Even when the parable gets other people confused sometimes, the Pharisees will still know
Conclusion:
Communication plays a vital role in life. Even in this kingdom, we need excellent communication skills to be able to speak to the right audience.
Song:
What will you do
When you see Jesus
What will you do
When you see Jesus
I'll sing holy, Holy
I'll join the Host of Angels
And sing Holy
I'll sing Holy, Holy
Is the Lamb, upon the Throne
Prayer:
Lord help us to learn how to communicate well. Amen.
