Eguh Nnamdi's Nugget - The Pharisees:

Topic: THE PHARISEES

Word: Matthew 23:2 NLT
“The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.

Here’s My Take:

Jesus Encounter With The Pharisees:

Finally in John 12:1–11 (NLT), we read how the Pharisees decided to kill Lazarus because his very existence threatened their relevance. As long as Lazarus lived, Jesus would visit. And whenever Jesus visited, there was a crowd. The crowd meant influence. Influence meant people leaving them to follow Him.
So, they concluded that Lazarus had to go.

When we compare the attitude of the Pharisees then with what we see around us today, we may realize that very little has changed. The truth is, there is no permanent member of any church. Even those born and raised in a particular church may one day move elsewhere. People grow. People search. People respond to where they are fed.

That was part of the Pharisees’ fear. They were not only afraid of losing the crowd; they feared that even their own families might follow the movement. After all, who would not want their body, soul, and spirit nourished? Therefore, let us not walk in the footsteps of the Pharisees. That path leads nowhere.

Conclusion:
People do not switch churches for no reason. It may be for mental support, spiritual growth, emotional healing, or even financial stability. When individuals cannot find fulfillment where they are, they seek it elsewhere. Instead of fighting to keep people, we should strive to create environments where lives are truly transformed. Because when purpose is genuine, people are drawn—not forced.

Song:

The Jesus that I know
Is enough for me

Prayer:
Lord may I not be an instrument of segregation. In Jesus name. Amen.
