Topic: Don't Pity Jonah!
Word: Jonah 1:15 NLT
Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once!
Here's My Take:
What Jonah stands for…
6. Silent Saboteur:
How to know the Silent Saboteur…
e. They play innocent while others pay the price. Jonah knew he was the cause, yet he said nothing. Even when the storm became unbearable and he was summoned, he still did not accept responsibility. He remained mute—until the lot was cast and it fell on him. I believe that if the lot had not exposed him, he would have remained silent, allowing others to lose their wealth and peace.
Silent Saboteurs know exactly what they are doing, but they pretend otherwise. Some people know they are the reason behind your pain, yet they console you when you cry, acting responsible.
Some know they are the reason for your delay, yet they speak as though they feel your pain. Others know they caused your loss, yet they are the first to offer you a handkerchief. Some are the reason for your stagnation, yet they blame you for not working hard enough.
Conclusion:
Jonah’s presence in the ship brought pain, delay, loss, and stagnation to everyone around him. He looked innocent on the outside, yet he was highly destructive. Throw Jonah out. Don’t pity him—or you will be the one to be pitied.
Song:
Every tongue in Heaven and Earth
Shall declare Your Glory
Every knee will bown at Your feet
In Worship
You be Exalted Oh Lord
And Your Kingdom shall not pass away
Oh Ancient of Days
Prayer:
Lord, let every silent saboteur around me and my family, be disappointed In Jesus’ name. Amen.
