Topic: Don't Pity Jonah!

Word: Jonah 1:15 NLT
Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once!

Here's My Take:

What Jonah stands for…

6. Silent Saboteur:
How to know the Silent Saboteur…

d. They sleep while your life is shaking. Jonah slept through the storm he caused. Whether it was real sleep or pretense, the storm did not shake Jonah. Silent Saboteurs feel normal when things are complicated. They remain relaxed even when others are running helter-skelter.

They are too relaxed and unconcerned. I once had a particular guy around me. The young man was extremely relaxed and unconcerned when it came to doing things that would help his life. One day, I told him sarcastically that I needed an impartation from him, because it seemed like nothing bothered him.

That “too relaxed and unconcerned” attitude cost him about two jobs. After working for a while, people who came after him were promoted, while he was dropped. Jonah’s case was different—he didn’t suffer the consequences at all; instead, others did. This is why we must get rid of Jonah.

Conclusion:
Anyone who is sleeping while your life is shaking is a Jonah.
Anyone who is laughing when everyone else is crying is a Jonah.
Anyone who acts unconcerned when others are in trouble is a Jonah. Identify your Jonah and get rid of him—separate yourself from him or her.

Song:
Who the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
I'm a child of God, yes I am
In my Father's house
There's a place for me
I'm a child of God, yes I am

Prayer:
Lord, let every Jonah be cut out of my life and my family. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
