Topic: Don't Pity Jonah!
Word: Jonah 1:15 NLT
Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once!
Here's My Take:
What Jonah stands for…
6. Silent Saboteur:
How to know the Silent Saboteur…
e. They play innocent while others pay the price. Jonah’s decision to board a cargo ship instead of a passenger ship left many people in tears. To him, he was escaping from God to find rest; but to others on the ship, it became a season of great loss.
Silent Saboteurs do not appreciate good things. Instead of being part of progress, they work against it.
Imagine owning a business empire in another people’s land, only to wake up one morning and find everything destroyed by the same people you invested in—simply because you are progressing in their land. That attitude is a true picture of a Silent Saboteur.
Anyone who tries to destroy another person’s business for any reason whatsoever is not acting differently from a Silent Saboteur. Silent Saboteurs would rather see wealth destroyed than see someone else prosper. If they can’t have it, they prefer that nobody has it at all. The Bible never mentioned that Jonah apologized for the losses those men suffered.
Conclusion:
“Since I can’t have it, let nobody have it” is a bad spirit. It is a very devilish mentality—and it is one of the things destroying Africa, as it is continually passed down to future generations.
Song:
Who the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
I'm a child of God, yes I am
In my Father's house
There's a place for me
I'm a child of God, yes I am
Prayer:
Lord, let every silent saboteur around me and my family, be disappointed In Jesus’ name. Amen.
