Topic: Don't Pity Jonah!

Word: Jonah 1:15 NLT

Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once!

Here's My Take:

What Jonah stands for…

6. Silent Saboteur:

How to know the Silent Saboteur…

e. They play innocent while others pay the price. Jonah walked inside the ship like every normal person, undetected of the circumstance following him. When the storm came, he was asleep, because he had no cargo to worry about. And even if everything sank, he had nothing else to lose. Except his life.

As the storm struck, the guilty played innocent, while the innocent paid the price. This reflects many things that happen around us—situations where someone suffers for what they know nothing about. Sadly, this is something we have seen over and over again.

If you keep your ears open, you will hear countless stories of people who lost their lives simply because of association. In many of these cases, the innocent was mistaken for the guilty—and that was the end of it. In other cases, it happened by accident.

Conclusion:

Silent Saboteurs always play innocent, leaving the innocent as the victim. That is the danger of having them as friends, business partners, colleagues, neighbors, and the like. May God help us. Amen.

Song:

You are holy, holy, you are holy

You are holy, holy, you are holy

Lamb of God sitteth at the right hand of the father

You are holy, holy, you are holy

Lamb of God sitteth at the right hand of the father

You are holy, holy, you are holy

Prayer:

Lord, let every Jonah be cut out of my life and my family. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
