5. Misidentification:
Jonah stands for Misidentification. If you're growing in popularity, one of the persons you should pray that God should remove from you is Jonah. Are you into ministry, business, politics, etc.? Avoid Jonah by all means. You may think that you know him, but you'll be shocked when you realize that he is totally different from what you thought he was.
Jonah is what any reasonable Nigerian will never forget anytime the last election is mentioned. Because a Jonah was discovered during that period. In fact, one of the reasons why Nigeria didn't have the rightful candidate they voted for in the last election is because of one Jonah.
During the campaign, his voice was the loudest. He claimed to represent everyone. He acted like he stood with the people — and we believed him. He spoke convincingly, won the trust of the masses, and presented himself as an ally. But when it mattered most, he turned around and discouraged people from voting for the same man he once publicly supported. Many people felt betrayed, and under his watch, innocent supporters suffered. All these were the consequences of misidentifying Jonah.
Conclusion:
You see, one thing you'll know Jonah for is his eloquence in speech, his ability to make people believe he is part of them, the ability to gather crowds, and the ability to make a U-turn from good to bad.
