Don't Pity Jonah:

Topic: Don't Pity Jonah!

Word: ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Jonah 1:15 NLT

Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once!

Here's My Take:

What Jonah stands...

5. Misidentification:

Jonah stands for Misidentification. The danger of misidentifying a Jonah is that you will keep investing trust in someone who was never sent to bless you. The sailors treated Jonah like every other passenger, not knowing they were accommodating a man whose presence would cost them peace, resources, and almost their lives.

Many people today are sinking emotionally, financially, spiritually, and mentally—not because of witches, not because of enemies, but because of wrong identities they accepted.

Jonah doesn’t show you who he really is.

Jonah hides his true mission.

Jonah blends in so well that you won’t suspect anything—until the storm breaks loose.

Conclusion:

Nothing breaks Jonah except the Truth. Jonah was fast asleep even with that heavy storm. He was fast asleep amidst the shouts and cries of those onboard. None of these shook him, until lot was passed. He would have remained unperturbed if not for the truth.

Song:

As long as

I am breathing

I will always worship you

Prayer:

Lord, let every Jonah be cut off from amongst us. In Jesus. Amen
