5. Goliath: Before we continue with the next character, just note that we all are instruments in the hands of God. But the challenge is the kind of instrument we're in His hands. There are two types of instruments; instruments of peace and/or instruments of destruction.
God can use a man or a people or a nation as an instrument of Peace unto his people/children/nation. He can also use a man or a people or a nation as an instrument of destruction of a person, His people, etc.
When his people/sons/nation refuse to obey his commands, and also refused to repent. He'll raise a person/people/nation and use them to punish them. But the funniest part of being used like that is that, after serving that purpose against His people, He will turn around and punish that people/nation...if they did not repent... after punishing his people.
Conclusion:
God is a man that wants every nation to serve and submit to Him. Whether you accept to be His or choose not to recognize Him as your God, you must serve Him. If not, He'll punish you.
