For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; With favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
Here's My Take:
FAVOUR:
I observed that Favour has no particular definition generally, its meaning varies according to individual's experience and understanding of it. Because what I may call Favour, one may see it as normal thing that can happen to anybody.
People may apply for a particular job, few were taken and the rest were dropped. It's not called Luck/Lucky, it's called Favour. Climbing stairs everyday unhurt isn't a Favour, right?. Drinking water without missing the track isn't Favour? That's why so many doesn't see reasons to testify in Church.
I heard a story of a poor woman that always come to church to testify. Her testimony was "I ate and I shit. Thank God!" She kept doing that, one day as she was called out, the Pastor taunted her, "we already know your testimony". And God shut the Pastor's anus for three days. He called the woman and apologized. The woman prayed for him. Immediately God opened it, he ran to the toilet. Since that time, they never stopped her again.
Conclusion:
Whatever you think is easy or normal, is God's Favour.
