Topic: CATALYSTS OF FAVOURS
Word: 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
Here's My Take:
CATALYST(AS FRIEND): God in His Wisdom gave us a clue of who a Catalyst Friend is. The Bible said "There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24 NLT
The first line talked about non catalyst friends, they'll only call you for drinks or gossip or watch games or chase after girls/guys, etc. But they wont remember to help you or link you up with opportunities. The Bible called them "friends who destroy each other".
The second line is talking about friends that can go extra mile with you. Friends that'll always be available when you need them; your pains is their pains, your gain is their gain. Not those that'll want to Lord themselves over one another. The Bible said they stick closer than a brother(meaning that they consider you as family, not just as friend)
Conclusion:
If the difference between you and your friend is not only blood, then you're not a catalyst friend. Treat your friend as you treat yourself...
Song:
All around, all around
Everywhere I look Your love is all around
All around, all around
Everywhere I look Your love is all around
Prayer:
Father make me and my friends catalysts to ourselves for our general wellness in Jesus name. Amen.
