Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.
Here's My Take:
WHY DO PEOPLE CROSS SPIRITUAL BOUNDARY:
10. Lack of self-control: lack of self-control has proven to be one of the factors that could make a person cross spiritual boundaries. Self-control makes us conscious of our attitudes and actions. It keeps us in check of doing unnecessary things.
Most times we're triggered to do things not minding whose ox is gord, but self-control will make us consider the effects, the consequences, etc. Self-control itself is a noun, but control is a verb, meaning action. So it takes us from excesses.
Previously we discussed on stubbornness, disobedience, etc, it takes self-control to be cool headed and obedient. Self-control is like a tap, that controls the flow(speech, attitude, actions, etc) in every person. God placed it there for our good and harmony.

Conclusion:
Thank God for this tap, but I found out that this tap can malfunction if we do not maintain it well with the Word of God. So it's not just enough to have a tap, it has to be maintained.
