Topic: Spiritual Long-sightedness
Word: Prov. 22:6
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Here's My Take:
Example Of Spiritual Long-sighted Persons:
4. Parents:
There are things that happened when we were growing up, which anytime we remember them, we regrettably laugh out loud. Previously we stated that the ability to know the way a child should go, is the priority of the parents. It will help them to train that child in such direction. Also, majority of our parents doesn't know and are not interested to finding out.
All they know is what they want for you. The above happened to us! When we were little, my brother was very good at football; he plays with left foot, and he was giving a viral nickname. Because then, football wasn't actually a thing, and my parents were teachers. So they, especially mum objected it.
Why? Because as teachers they believed in going to school, getting Government Job, then retire with pension, etc. That was how that passion and gift died. It's of recent that my mom recalled that we were once footballers; as she started hearing about C. Ronaldo and Messi. We simply told her "you killed that footballers in us"
Conclusion:
It's important to know your ward's passion and help him/her develop in it, than trying to impose your choice on him/her.
Song:
In the darkness we were waiting
Without hope, without light
'Til from Heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets
To a virgin came the word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt
Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings
Prayer:
Father guide every parents to know the way to lead their children. Amen
